Coach Miles halfway redeemed himself-He Won! Good job Les, you did your job. It's about time. You get payed $3.8 million a year Coach. 9-3 is unexceptable. I personally like Houston Nutt's motto for this season. "UNSATISFIED!".
The Tigers have unofficially punched their ticket to Orlando to appear in the 2009 Capital One Bowl on New Years Day. The Capital One Bowl picks the best SEC team who is not in a BCS bowl game. Which will be the LSU Tigers. LSU will most likely take on the Iowa Hawkeyes or the Penn State Nittany Lions. In both cases I think LSU is the stronger team, but they were stronger than Ole Miss and they lost. They were stronger than Louisiana Tech, and they almost lost. They were stronger than Mississippi State, and almost lost. They were stronger than Georgia, and almost lost. You get my point people? LSU is unpredictable. I would love to say YAY we won, but I would not bet on LSU ever this season.
Les Miles has got to go, I agree. But as of right now he is our coach, and his the leader of this Tiger football team. Coach Miles deserves our respect and support. He is a great coach and he is an LSU TIGER, and when you say "FOREVER L-S-U" at the end of the Alma Mater that means many things. It means Louisiana State University will forever be in your heart, it also means that anyone wearing the colors purple and gold has your support. No matter if they win or lose, no matter if they get blown out or they blow out their opponent, they deserve our support and respect at all times. I am a full support of Coach Les Miles and yes he is struggling but he is a Tiger, and he is a part of this great Tiger family. If you are a real LSU Fighting Tiger fan you will support Les Miles and his men this season. I've always liked the saying, "GIVE MORE FOR LES!".
In professional football there is good news for you Saints fans, the Colts are currently losing to the Texans. If the Saints win tomorrow they may be the only undefeated team left in the NFL. WHO DAT?
But I am done rambling, we will know soon who is going where for College bowl games. Oh and how about them Ole Miss Rebels? 41-27? The lost the eggbowl yesterday and gave up 35 points to Mississippi State for the first time since 1917. Hotty Toddy? NO! Go Corndogs!
Thats all I have to say, tune to ESPN tomorrow at 8:30 eastern time for the unbeaten New Orleans Saints versus Tom Brady and his New England Patriots. My pick is the Saints win in "come from behind" fashion by the score of 41-38. Three point favor for the Saints.
To all tiger fans making the trip to Orlando or whatever bowl game our boys are in, travel safely and enjoy the trip.
God Bless and as always, GEAUX TIGERS!
Here are the Tigers hoisting "THE BOOT" which they reclaimed last night!
